Central Transport complaint by Karatekid

Do not work for Central Transport, a horrible company, they change their job descriptions. You are to drive a 18 wheeler, load your truck unload your truck, run a fork lift and you have are timed on getting product from one end of the warehouse to the other impossible to do. They change the rules, they have unlicensed fork lift drivers, unlicensed drivers working for them. They are not a good company. Beware if employed watch you payroll check they will skim you on hours that are just HORRIBLE! BEWARE! You can not drive a truck, forklift and be timed on forklift driving when you are not a certified driver.

You're right they all sound like cry babies.9 times out of 10 the people on here who complain are the same people that dont show up, are always late and can't comprehend a simple work assignment. These are the same people who think that they should get the best runs and have everything handed to them. But if you ask them to fill out their paperwork and logs correctly so that they do get paid properly they can't even spell their name right. :cry

I WORKED AT CENTRAL TRANSPORT, ALSO. I CANT BELIEVE I LASTED ABOUT A YEAR. NO TRAINING, NO NOTHING. THEY THROW YOU THE KEYS AND YOUR ON YOUR OWN. WORST PLACE THAT I EVER WORKED. I GOT SICK OF WAITING HOURS FOR A TRUCK, DOLLY OR MY LOAD. IT WASNT UNCOMMON TO WORK 14 TO 19 HOURS A DAY. MOSTLY WAITING BECAUSE OF THEIR STUPIDITY. I WAS ALWAYS SHORTED ON MY CHECK. EVERY WEEK THEY WOULD NOT PAY ME FOR SCALES AND MAKE/BREAK PAY. I STILL NEVER GOT PAID FOR SOME OF IT. THERE IS NO TOWMOTOR CERTIFICATION, JUST DONT HIT ANYTHING. AND THEY DO SUCKER YOU IN THERE WITH A RUN AND CHANGE IT A MONTH OR TWO LATER AND ***. I DONT THINK EVERY TERMINAL IS BAD BECAUSE I RAN INTO A DRIVER FROM JAMESTOWN AND HE LIKED HIS JOB, HOWEVER, MY EXPERIENCE WITH CETRAL WAS NOT GOOD. TAKE MY ADVICE, GO WORK FOR A DIFFERENT FREIGHT HAULER

I have been driving for Central for 5 years now. I am now looking into terminal manager position. I think this company shows a lot of respect to employees. They have never cheated me on my checks and I have never been disrespected in any way. This company will not let you drive a fork lift without being certified or drive a semi without being licsenced. When you have a problem with a check or settlement upon your contract that is owed to you, you need to be man enough to take care of your problem and not wine and cry over it thinking this will be the answer. Some people think they have a right to slander a buisness out of frustration when all they have to do is be more proffesional and take care of there own problems. What do you think mommy is still holding your hand? Grow up and take control, don't let the buisness mistakes become your failure at sucess in your life.
