We sent 6ft diam. saw blades from WI to OH. These are something we do twice a month and have used Central transport in the past with no issues. This time however, is a different story. This time they lost our blades. Our saw blades are not something that we can just buy online. We have to have them Imported from Germany. They cost $7,795 for 1 set and they wanted to offer us $79.70 for them, which by the way didn't even cover the freight charges to ship the blades. The quote you, provide you a quote ID, and then go back on their quote simply because the shipper listed their freight with the wrong class... a higher class. I guarantee you if the BOL said a lower class they would have promised the quote ID, however they took advantage of a situation to charge more. Oh and they annoying sign off on their emails with "respectfully" ...well respect this you morons. Central Transport handled my shipment from Florida to California. As soon as it hit Hayward California the shipment stalled for a week before Central Transport realized it was missing. They have no internal infrastructure to accurately update the status of shipments. Customer service has not empowerment to solve anything. The website tracker is useless. If they don't locate and delver my item with in the next 48 hours I will file a claim against them. I emailed them, I called them. Nothing but the same excuse that the Hayward location is... Central Transport - Horrible experience

They missed 2 separate days, no notice, no call (yes, I called to leave my cell number). 3rd try, they came but not on time, again no call. Even worse, the 2 boxes were both damaged (open and parts rolling in truck). Told the driver to refuse shipment but he left it on the driveway and said had to go but would come back (guess if he came back). Worst delivery experience. This was a large item from Harbor Freight so my suggestion is to select delivery to store, instead of home, for large/heavy items. Read more

Actually This is second time. Central Transport is really amateur delivery company. My pallet arrived last on Saturday in my local warehouse. It is Thursday passed 5 days but they do not anything except keep changing delivery date. They never say why or about their schedule. And I tried call customer service several times but never answer. I can not get their service. I think delivery service point is fast and safe. Central Transport is not fast just slow. I do not expect about safe. The worst trucking company in my whole life. Lost a 2' x 4' pallet with a 170lb leaf spring on it and can't seem to find it 2 weeks later! *** poor customer service! They tell you they can't do anything but ask for a 'Dock Check'. The supervisor will not take your calls or even return them. They even deleted the tracking information from the website once the freight went missing! They don't seem to care one bit about a customers freight! Does anyone have a phone number for this place so I can call and ask about this freight????? Read more

At present we have 4 claims placed within a 3 month time frame. None resolved. Requesting additional photos of damaged boards from mid December now. Boxes were crushed beyond recognition, yet 2.5 months later they ask for more pics of the damaged product. Two of the claims are for doubling the charges from the quote given because they doubled the weight. I cannot express the level of disgust I have for this company. We have an unsettled insurance claim dating back to May 2015 after a Central Transport driver hit and damaged our property. Cherokee Insurance (Central Transport’s insurance carrier) refuses to pay anywhere near the amount needed to repair the building, and Central Transport has not responded at all. This is 100% no fault on our part and 100% at fault on the part of Central Transport, and we should not have to go through all of the problems we have had to endure. To be objective, Central transport is the lowest cost / quality provider of LTL services that we have encountered. Our business ships 8 to 10 LTL shipments per week, and quotes all of the major carriers (UPS, Fedex, YRS, and XPO). We typically find Central Transport 12-18% lower in cost, however there is a major and significant tradeoff. Quality.
